Professor Colin Tatz AO was a director of the Australian Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, affiliated with the Shalom Institute at the University of New South Wales. He held chairs of Politics at the Universities of New England and Western Sydney and at Macquarie University, where he remains as Adjunct Professor. He is the author of fifteen books, on topics that include race politics in South Africa, the Aboriginal experience in Australia, the history of sport in Australia, Aboriginal and Maori youth suicide, and Holocaust and genocide studies. He died in November 2019.
